Nokia Glance: Enhance your lock screen experience with Windows Phone 8.1

Note again that the glance display extras (e.g. weather here) seem only to work as 'peek' items, i.e. wave your hand over the proximity sensor on the phone. Presumably this saves on battery power - the information does stay up for about 20 seconds, which is usually long enough to satisfy your desire for information!

One of the biggest complaints for Windows 8 came from those not quite ready to make the jump from a standard Windows 7-type desktop mode to a tiled, modern interface. Many that tried simply wanted their old computing environment back.

Nokia Glance ready for WP 8.1

While Microsoft made claims in the past that Windows Phone delivers fast performance on conservative hardware, the Lumia 950 XL shows the company is ready to take on Android rivals in the specs game. Underneath the uninspiring white polycarbonate shell are features worthy of flagship phone status: fast octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, liquid cooling (a first for a phone), 3GB of RAM for multitasking, a high resolution 5.7-inch QHD display and iris scanner for security.

For those already using the new Windows 8, or who are about to upgrade, may have trouble finding exactly where to go for those updates. Thankfully, it's relatively easy and just takes a little getting used to from the classic Windows environment.

Adaptability and Agility: Great leaders are said to possess a heightened ability to think outside the box. Instead of continually reinventing the wheel, they learn to do new and unexpected things with the tools already at hand, while encouraging others to do the same. Leaders in the 21st century need to be able to continuously innovate and manage disruptions effectively. To do this, they need to remember that everyone has something to offer and cultivate a culture where every employee feels comfortable to suggest ideas and propose solutions. This will go a long way in creating an adaptive and agile organization that is well equipped to face disruption.

Once you sign in and the app is ready to go, hit the three-dot menu button. Select Add files. Choose whether you want to add Images, Videos, Audio, Documents, or My Files. Select the files and hit Done. Then select Move so that no copy is available outside the Secure Folder.
