During KOTOR's character creation players are given a choice of three starting classes. Although these first KOTOR classes will only last until the main character's Jedi training, the decision between them is still very important:
Kotor Start As Jedil
The Soldier is a tough fighter and the most combat-orientated of the three starting classes. It's a great pick for new players due to its survivability but does rely heavily on KOTOR's great companions for skill checks.
Soldiers start with the Power Attack and Power Blast active Feats, allowing them to perform special attacks with melee or ranged weapons respectively. These attacks take a -3 to the Hit roll but deal +5 bonus damage. Additionally, Soldiers are the only KOTOR class that can pick up Weapon Specializations in weapons other than Lightsabers, giving them a permanent +2 to damage with that weapon type.
Scoundrel's Luck grants the Scoundrel a passive bonus to Defense, and Sneak Attack allows them to add bonus damage to close-range attacks from behind enemies, from stealth, or against targets that are stunned or otherwise immobilized. The Scoundrel starts with the Critical Strike and Sniper Shot active Feats in KOTOR, allowing them to increase their chances of a critical hit with melee and ranged weapons respectively.
Once players have reached Dantooine in the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic story, they'll be able to start Jedi training. This training comes with a new choice of three KOTOR classes, each with Force powers and Lightsaber proficiency:
The Guardian starts with the Force Jump power and acquires its improved versions at level 6 and level 12. Force Jump allows the Guardian to automatically leap into close=combat with any enemy more than 10 meters away that they target with a lightsaber melee attack. Force Jump is probably one of the most iconic Star Wars Force Powers, and is often seen in movies, books, and games.
To support their specialization in Force Powers, the Consular starts with the Force Focus Feat and gets the upgraded versions at level 6 and level 12. Force Focus gives +1 DC for all Force Powers used by the Consular, making it less likely that enemies will pass their saving throw.
To keep them alive in combat, Sentinels start with the Force Immunity Feat and acquire its upgraded versions at levels 6 and 12. Force Immunity makes the Sentinel immune to Fear at level 1, immune to Stun at level 6, and immune to paralysis at level 12. These abilities combine to make the Sentinel one of the toughest Jedi KOTOR classes.
Bolook will ask you which character you're starting to suspect the killer is. The correct answer will be Rickard. Follow up by saying that there was no sun glare since it was cloudy, which means that Rickard's shot should not have been affected. You won't learn who killed him, but you are getting closer to the truth.
Furthermore, this article focuses on general glitches. Glitches that you will only encounter under very specific situations are documented on more specific articles: problems during a quest will be documented on that quest's article; problems that only occur in a given location will be described on that place's article; etc. If you are looking for information on a problem that you've encountered, you should start by searching the same way as non-problem-related information: look at the wiki article on that topic. However, I have found that if Calo Nord is dead when you kill Davik, the cutscene will not happen, you cannot enter the Ebon Hawk and you will have to restart either from your last save or your game depending on what saves you use.
Howdy I'm playing the triple emulated Kotor on xbone Kotor digital. I have just did the secret handshake with malak in the Leviathan and Morales pretty low as we head out. But worse then that is while the cutscenes plays after I destroy the sith fighters the conversation starts and then in between audio dialouge carth desides he has fatal case of post traumatic 1000 yard stare and stops talking so the next dialouge doesn't happen.......ever I have restarted several time and I'll keep trying but the game just stops mid cutscene.
Submitted by Tri-Edge: Apparently, there is a glitch where after you save your game and leave your ship; everyone on your entire party is replaced by Zaalbaar. It started out as only one character, but eventually spread to your entire party (aside from Revan.) If you reload the game, there is no change. While I love the damned wookie, I would also love to have my other characters back. I'm assuming this glitch is extremely rare, considering I've never heard anyone complain about it before. I'm putting it in this section because while technically, you can proceed; it was a game-breaker for me. I absolutely love the game, but I refuse to play it without the majority of my playable characters; I mean, after all, who wants to progress with most of their top characters replaced?

Your followers (and eventually everyone around you) would start speaking quickly and with high voices as though the audio files had been crudely sped up. Loading a previous save fixed this but it would happen periodically on Taris, usually triggered by dialogue between Mission and Carth.
Knights of the Old Republic II starts five years after the events of the first game and follows the story of The Exile, a Jedi Knight who was exiled from the Jedi Order. During this time, the Jedi Order has been almost completely wiped out by the Sith. The game begins with the protagonist waking up from unconsciousness on an asteroid mining facility. After the player escapes with the help of their party members, they find the person who exiled them ten years ago, who sends the protagonist on a mission to seek out the remaining Jedi to fight against the Sith.
Knights of the Old Republic II is not a turn based game, but is a role-playing video game played from a third-person view that features pausable real-time combat.[1] Combat and interactions with the environment and non-player characters in Knights of the Old Republic II are based on the d20 System as in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.[2] The game starts with a character creation screen with several choices to make, and there is also an option of letting the game do it automatically.[3] There are 30 new Force powers, which are manifestations of the Force, in Knights of the Old Republic II.[4] Like its predecessor, the game has several minigames, including swoop bike racing and a card game called Pazaak.[5] The interface has been streamlined from the original game and party management has been made easier; for example, the player can switch between two selected weapon sets in the menu.[3] As in the first game, the player can choose to align with either the light side or the dark side. Choosing dialogue options that are respectful and empathetic gives the protagonist light side points, while options that are egotistic and evil result in dark side points.[1]
During the Mandalorian Wars, Revan and Malak left the Jedi Order, recruiting Jedi to their side and criticizing the Orders' continued inaction during the conflict. Sometime after the war concluded, Revan and Malak would fall to the Dark Side of the Force, declaring themselves leaders of a new Sith Empire and returning to Republic space wielding red lightsabers alongside a massive Sith fleet backed by veterans of the Mandalorian Wars. Their return heralded the start of the Jedi Civil War, a conflict that would almost consume the Republic if not for Malak betraying Revan and claiming their empire for his own.
Note: if you can't find your 'swkotor.ini' file by following the steps above, try following this path instead: Library > Application Support > Knights of the Old Republic. Your 'swkotor.ini' file might be hiding in there if you're playing on Mac via Steam. Once you've found it, pick up with the bullet point in the list above that starts with the words 'Right click'.
There were a few bugs though that could have been fixed, possibly - Or maybe they couldn't have been, I don't know.For instance, when I would look at the map of a new location and it would say 'Peragus' or something, it would slightly take me out of the experience.Obviously I get that you had to reuse the kotor 2 maps.
Your main character starts as one class but must choose a Jedi class to continue once on Dantooine. You must level up once before escaping the Endar Spire, but after gaining level 2 you don't have to level up any further before becoming a Jedi, even once you've received enough experience to gain multiple levels. Saving levels allows you to gain more levels as a Jedi (up to 18, since maximum character level is 20). 2ff7e9595c
